Wanted: Leader of Prestigious Dallas All-Girl School
Ever since Hockaday Headmistress Jeanne Whitman announced in February that she’d be peacing out come June 2011, the fact that there will be a high-level job opening at the school has been, well, obvious. A search committee was formed at the time and has been quiet ever since. But, based on yesterday’s advertisement in the Chronicle of Higher Education, things are moving forward. Seems they’ve enlisted Storbeck/Pimentel, a self-described “minority and female owned retained executive search firm specializing in providing executive recruitment services to colleges, universities, independent schools and not-for-profit organizations.”
That said, if you are a qualified applicant, or you know someone who is, drop the search firm a line at [email protected] by Aug. 1. I know at least one head of school who might be looking for work.
