How Did Park Cities Politicians Fare?

The wet-dry propositions weren’t the only choices voters had to make yesterday. A Park Cities People investigation has revealed that a couple of Park Cities people were running for office.

Highland Park’s Grier Raggio failed in his bid to unseat Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Lakewood, in the 32nd Congressional District. The Democrat earned 34.9 percent of the vote, while Sessions easily cruised to re-election with 62.61 percent. (The other 2.49 percent went to John Jay Myers, a Libertarian from God knows where.)

State Rep. Dan Branch had an even easier time holding onto his seat in the Legislature. The University Park Republican captured 64.92 percent of the vote in District 108, fending off a challenge from Democrat Pete Schulte of Old East Dallas, who tallied 32.72 percent. (Jarrett Woods, a Libertarian from parts unknown, got the other 2.36 percent.)

The award for laziest journalist blog or otherwise goes to Dan Koller.
Apparently Dan doesn’t have google and is completely unaware of who is on the ballot in his area …. until after the election.

That’s good reporting Dan…. keep it up, you might be the reason people like Eddie Bernice Johnson and Pete Sessions keep getting elected.

You’ll have to cut him some slack, Bill. He’s only the managing editor.
