Football Schedule Finalized

Highland Park’s 2011 football schedule has been finalized.

Nearly the opposite of last year’s schedule, the Scots will once again open the regular season against Everman in the Tom Landry Classic at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27. That will be the only non-Friday game for Highland Park in the regular season.

The Scots, who finished 12-1 last season, will once again play host to Monterrey (Mexico) Tec on Sept. 2. Highland Park closes out non-district play with a Sept. 9 home game against Sherman.

After a bye week, the Scots open District 10-4A play at Rockwall on Sept. 23. Highland Park will then play Wylie East at home (Sept. 30), at Wylie (Oct. 7), at Pearce (Oct. 14), McKinney North at home (Oct. 21), at Rockwall-Heath (Oct. 28), and at home against McKinney (Nov. 4).

Homecoming will be Oct. 21, while the annual “Blue Out” game will be Nov. 4.

The Scots will once again have one preseason scrimmage — at home against Plano West on Aug. 19.
