Bohac Let the Dogs Out at Highland Park Middle School

Drug sniffing dogs were on duty at Highland Park Middle School yesterday. Students reported that HPMS assistant principal Richard Bohac entered various classrooms and instructed kids to leave their belongings, including electronics, and step into the hall. Whether or not this was a random check is unknown.

Chief Gary Adams had this to say.

As I understand this was the third time this year the drug dogs have been requested by Assistant Principle Bohac.  The school district has a contract with a private company, as do most Dallas area schools, to bring in drug sniffing dogs from time to time.

Feb 2008, two girls in 7th grade – smoking marijuana in a school bathroom during or between classes – no dogs required.

Did they find anything? Seems like they always did when my kids were there!

Now if the dogs could detect illicit texting, then we’d have something. Or perhaps fashion crimes!
