Local Woman Can’t Reach Mother in Japan

In October of 2006 I wrote a column about Susan Morrison (then a waitress at Kuby’s, now working at Peggy Sue’s in Snider Plaza) who came to Dallas at the age of 2 from Japan after being adopted by loving Texans. Later in life she found her birth mother in Japan. Since that time Susan has visited her family of origin, developed a close relationship with them and has sent support money earned from her job waiting tables in University Park.

Since the devastating earthquake and tsunami last week, Susan has been unable to reach her birth mother (photo above) who lives in Sendai.

Susan and her husband Bob ask for your prayers.

Prayers and thoughts are with the family. I can’t imagine the anguish and fear she must be feeling right now.
