1. We hear the Camp Longhorn bus will be pulling into Dallas this weekend to pick up kids and transport them to weeks of summer fun. As a parent of two young boys, I know this will be a bittersweet experience for all the moms and dads out there — emphasis on the sweet.
2. The University Park Public Library’s summer book sale begins at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Get there early for the best deals.
3. Speaking of discounted literature, Half Price Books is beginning a series of outdoor movie screenings tomorrow night on the flagship store’s parking lot. The first selection is Hook, followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 on June 18. Personally, I’m looking forward to E.T. on July 2 and Star Trek on July 30. All movies start at 8:45.
