Stafford Appears to Be OK

I know most of your sports brains are focused on a little baseball game up in St. Louis tonight, but here’s a quick update on former Scot Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Free Press.

Stafford, who has been sidelined with injuries each of the first two years of his NFL career, gave the Lions another scare when he went down on the final offensive play for Detroit in last Sunday’s loss to Atlanta. However, he only sprained his ankle.

The Lions (5-2) look to snap  a two-game losing skid at Denver this Sunday.

OMG. Chuckmeister. It’s way past time to ratchet back on the posts about Stafford. Enough already. Proud of him. He’s from here. He’s irrationally wealthy, even though he doesn’t play much. Quintessential American Dream, and paradoxical embodiment of the Park Cities ethos. Got it. Super. It’s done. It’s not a story anymore. No one ever comments on these posts. Ever.

At the very least, please quit posting photos of him where the the skin tones are so freakishly over-saturated that hits arms look like Cheetos.

I appreciate the posts about Matt, Chuck. My husband and I both do, so thanks for the updates.

A huge group of fans is still very interested in what goes on with Stafford. I see Stafford jerseys all over town and every little kid wants to be him. Heck, I know some “big” kids that would like to be him. Keep ’em coming Chuck
