Lamplighter Hosts Science Night Tomorrow

Lamplighter youngsters will be able to have some fun with bugs tomorrow from 6-8 p.m.

In partnership with the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Lamplighter will host another Science Night where families with kindergartners and first graders can participate in hands-on insect experiences during a presentation called “Insect Investigations.”

There will also be a few different exhibits for the kids to go through, including an iPad treasure hunt exhibit, a preserved insects/butterfly exhibit, and a few fun insect-art projects.

“The inaugural Science Night showcased science education for our youngest learners in a unique way,” remarked Lamplighter Head of School, Joan Hill in a press release. “We expect no less for this second joint endeavor.” She explained that the partnership with the Perot Museum was instrumental to the success of these events, and that these activities will give students “an opportunity to construct new knowledge.”
