Someone Doesn’t Like Liberals From Wisconsin

Wisconsin: 30th state to join the U.S., 1st hated state by one person. Photo Credit: map-of-usa.co.uk

In a recurring harassment of hateful notes, a woman has been at the receiving end of some rude comments for having Wisconsin plates on her car and being a liberal.

In the past two months, the woman has found two notes on her car in the NorthPark Center parking lot that attack her personal affiliations and the state her car is registered in, according to a Dallas police report.

The culprit didn’t write about their disdain for Wisconsin’s cheese fetish,  the state being an agricultural powerhouse when it comes to cranberries and ginseng, or even Brett Favre — just liberals and the state.

A little one sided, but then again here were their notes — edited for decency and, albeit, my respect for the state:

“Get your f******, liberal a** back up North! We don’t want you here, A******!” “Go back to Wisconsin. We don’t want your liberal a** here!”
Wisconsin hater

Brad brought up a good point earlier: People should probably look at the voting habits of individual states before making such claims.

Hard to feel sorry for a lawbreaker — she was required to register her vehicle in Texas withing 30 days of moving here. I’m comfortable assuming she’s moved if she’s been getting notes over two months. DPD should have ticketed her.

Actually its rough to paint the whole state with the liberal brush. If you get outside of Madison or Milwaukee , much of the state is very conservative. I find a lot of similarities between the hard work ethics and values for the family that many wisconsin folks and texans share.

Madison and Austin could be twin sisters if you wanted to make any comparisons.

Now if she has an obama sticker on her car, she is fair game…. 🙂

Hmmm, seems like it’s not just “someone.”

@Uppercase Matt — That was my first thought. It doesn’t seem like they ticketed her but should have by any means.

Shame on you all who do such things as the anonymous note writers and their admirers writing in this column. All my life as a liberal living in University Park (Scots ”64) I have never come across such rudeness until recently. if one wants a political discussion there are plenty of places to have one, but under the windshield wiper of someone who you don’t know or will never have to face is not a conversation. I was taught in grade school that “Tejas” was the Indian word for friendly.

Seriously, what would it take for someone to be walking in a parking lot, see a Wisconsin plate, and take the time to write a note as angry as that? That is one SCARY person. Dang.

Screw her and all the Obamamaniacs. They get all up in arms when the conservatives push back. Very 1930s Germany of them. They’re deep, silent and no where to be found when their own (Bill Maher) ridicules conservatives & denounces Christians.

Brace yourself liberals, we’re taking this country back on Nov 6, and you’re going to rue the day you forced allowed Reid, Pelosi & the clown to force Obamacare down our throats using reconciliation in the US Senate. We used to believe in fairness and freedom of speech & thought. Now we just want retribution, revenge & small govt.

    NOBAMA

I think there is a big difference in what goes on regarding the media and whether or not liberals object to Bill Maher (who is a liberal commentator/comedian) and putting hateful notes on someone’s windshield. It just makes Texans look like idiots to stoop to such harassing and immature tactics. Enough with the lame Nazi references. Learn your history from someone besides Glenn Beck!
    GObama!

Just came across this article. I recently moved from California to Wisconsin, have a hard time thinking WI as being “liberal”. And that comment from “T-Bone” is revealing! He started accusing folks of “very 1930s Germany”, and proceeded to talk about payback, retribution, and revenge. I guess we tend to project ourselves onto other people. Well, we love you anyway… but dude, like take it easy, okay?
