Two of the bride’s sixth-grade students, Morgan Gerlach and Kennedy Hermansen, sang a duet in the wedding. The renowned Dallas band Tres Uvas y Una Rosa played beautiful, instrumental prelude music as guests were being seated. Three members of the notorious Highland Park Bagpipe Corps — Arya McCarthy, Keely Brown, and Cameron Keith — led the bride and groom recessional. A reception of dinner and dancing followed at the Royal Oaks Country Club. A 4-foot, 6-inch bride’s cake was created by Fancy Cakes by Lauren. It was a replica of the bride’s grandmother’s wedding cake.

Topping the bride’s two-tiered, crystal-embossed, shoulder-length veil was a sparkly, jeweled tiara, an exact replica of the one worn by Princess Kate Middleton. The bride carried her mother’s handkerchief, given to her mother for her own wedding day by the bride’s grandmother.
