Nasher Celebrates Spring Break With Free Event

For spring-breakers who’ve returned home by this Friday, you can head to the Nasher Sculpture Center for a special FREE ‘til Midnight concert and movie starting at 6 p.m.

The King Bucks will perform their unique mix of country at 7 p.m., and the Academy-Award-nominated “Fantastic Mr. Fox” will air at 9 p.m.

The museum asks that no outside food, beverages, or furniture (leave the sofas at home, folks) be brought in. But don’t despair too much, you can pre-reserve picnic baskets if you call by Wednesday, and other food and beverages will be available to purchase on site from the Nasher Café.

While there, take the opportunity to tour the current exhibition “Ken Price Sculpture A Retrospective.” The show has been praised in Time Magazine, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times, and this art-major can’t wait to go see it.

As you mark your calendars for Friday, you can go ahead and pencil in the rest of the ‘til Midnight series: May 17, June 21, July 19, Aug. 16, Sept. 20, and Oct. 18, and check “have more fun” off your New Year’s resolution list.
