Publishing Company to Release Debut Book
Saturday marks a big milestone for Highland Park resident Richard Lena’s Brattle Publishing Group.
The company, which typically peddles educational materials, is releasing its first book — a young-adult novel by Gary Karton called The Last Akaway, available this weekend via Brattle and on Amazon.com. The title is the first in a series of three stories, says Barbara Lena, who helps with sales and marketing and likens the new book to a Harry Potter read, “only better.”
The underlying message, she says, “is that kids need to get outdoors and be fit, and be in touch with nature.”
