Ain’t Nobody Got Time For Obscure Headlines

The Skulduggery of the Week in today’s paper is about a home burglary in which nothing was reported stolen except for some expensive watches. The headline I wrote for that was “Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That.” At least one member of my staff didn’t get that reference, so there’s a chance that some of you didn’t get it either.

Meet Sweet Brown. She was interviewed by an Oklahoma City TV station last year and has since become a meme. (The clip above has been viewed on You Tube more than 26,000,000 times.) Her fame has led to Sweet Brown being featured in commercials for a home buyer and a dentist and a University Park attorney.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go get me a cold pop.

Why was it “time” to remove the Highland Park Terrorist article from the blog?

It’s on our home page, where we post stories that also appear in the paper. It was never intended for the blog, so I corrected the mistake.

I’m sad that even one cohort was not aware of this viral gold.

Calling Brian Loncar an attorney is like calling the Deep Fryer kid at McDonald’s a 5 star chef.
