‘Mile 4 Max’ Walk to Benefit Parish Coach's Family

Have any big Cinco de Mayo plans? Before you dive into a basket of chips and queso, give the “Mile 4 Max” walk a thought.
Max is the young son of Scott Nady, a football coach at Parish Episcopal. In 2008, Max was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a disorder that limits his body movement. Max’s treatments are expensive, and insurance does not cover the type of therapy that helps him most. The money raised at the walk will assist with those medical bills.
The walk is only one mile, but that’s a long distance when it comes to Max’s condition. His family hopes he will be able to walk it on his own one day.
The event is this Sunday at Flag Pole Hill at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Buckner Boulevard. Festivities start at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
