Korra Foundation Has Two Events This Week
The Monika Korra Foundation will be hosting a pair of fundraisers this week.
First, the “Men Against Rape & Abuse” Fundraiser Breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dallas Country Club (4100 Beverly Drive), inside the ballroom. The keynote speaker will be Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings. Cost is $30. Business attire is the dress. Valet and self-parking will both be available.
Next, “3 Artists’ Vision of 7 Women” will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at The Continental Lofts (3311 Elm Street). Artists Erica Felicella, David Redish, and Hal Samples will display their visual art of seven women who have dealt with the trauma or rape, endured, healed, and survived.
Korra is a former SMU distance runner and rape survivor who started her foundation to help other female victims of violence.
