University Park Recycles Electronics Year-Round

The boom box on which I’ve been listening to music and talk radio for more than two decades finally gave out last month. This device is so old it has dual cassette players on the front. Nonetheless, it served me well through college, my life as a bachelor, and more than 11 years of marriage.

If I lived in University Park, I’d take it to the city’s waste transfer station at 2525 University Blvd., where UP residents can now dispose of unwanted electronics free of charge. But I don’t live in University Park, so I’ve got to figure out another option more palatable than tossing it in a Dumpster.
