Every game becomes more important for the Highland Park High School soccer teams starting tomorrow, when District 20-4A play gets underway.

Making the playoffs shouldn’t be a problem, since four of the five teams will qualify. But both HPHS teams have league title aspirations and hope to position themselves for postseason runs.

The Lady Scots (8-4-1) enter district play having scored just two goals in their past three games combined while facing difficult competition, including a 1-0 loss to Ursuline on Friday. They will host Little Elm tomorrow.

On the boys side, the Scots (3-8-1) have gotten off to a slow start that included a 2-0 loss at Wylie East on Friday. They will play their fourth consecutive road game tomorrow at Little Elm before returning home on Friday to face The Colony.

The district also includes Carrollton Creekview and Carrollton Newman Smith. The eight-game league slate includes one home and one road game against each opponent before wrapping up on March 18.
