Villalba, Gates to Host Home-Rule Meeting
Two Preston Hollow politicians — state Rep. Jason Villalba and City Councilwoman Jennifer Staubach Gates — have endorsed the Support Our Public Schools initiative, which aims to turn Dallas ISD into a home-rule district. The two of them are co-hosting a town-hall meeting on the topic at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Preston Royal Library. It’s one of three happening at the same time; the others will be near Fair Park and in Pleasant Grove.
