HPHS Drum Line Wins at Contests

Some drum line students and director revel in their win with trophy in hand.
Members of the HPHS drum line revel in their win with trophy in hand.

The Highland Park High School drum line ushered in multiple wins on Nov. 8.

The first competition at the Lewisville Drum Line Contest earned HPHS not only first place in its class, but in every caption as well (snare, quad, bass, and pit). Then at the state’s largest drum line contest, Lone Star Classic, it advanced to the finals and won its class and outstanding bass line.

This clean sweep must represent hours of hard work by students, as well as director James LaBrecue and assistant Zach Sherburne.
