Skulduggery of the week: Alley Attack

At 2:30 p.m., two robbers stole $132 in cash from a wallet after confronting a woman in an alley in the 4100 block of University Boulevard and asking for money.

HIGHLAND PARK

12 THURSDAY
At 2:30 a.m., Christian Kade Salerno, 18, of The Woodlands was arrested in the 3100 block of Cornell Avenue on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 12:23 p.m., the owner of the UPS store in the 4800 block of Lemmon Avenue reported the systematic theft of more than $3,633 in cash by an employee between Aug. 29 and Feb. 4. The employee admitted the larceny when confronted, and was fired.

14 SATURDAY
At 1:31 a.m., an officer noticed that a vandal had intentionally pushed over a stop sign in the 4400 block of St. Johns Drive, at the intersection of Armstrong Avenue.

9 MONDAY
At 7:56 p.m., a resident of the 3600 block of Greenbrier Drivereported the theft of three Wilson tennis racquets, valued at $600, from an unlocked Gray 2007 Chevrolet Trail Blazer between Feb. 7 and Feb. 8.

10 TUESDAY
Between 12:45 and 12:55 p.m., a thief stole a $125 DVF wallet containing $100 in cash from a purse inside R&D Kitchen at The Plaza at Preston Center.

Between 6 p.m. and midnight, a burglar broke into an office in the6900 block of Hursey Street and stole several items including food, office equipment, appliances, blank checks, and a calculator.

11 WEDNESDAY
Between 10:10 and 11:10 a.m., a burglar broke into a white 2013 Land Rover in the 3500 block of Westminster Avenue and stole a $1,200 Goyard purse and an $800 Balenciaga wallet containing $300 in cash.

Between 8:30 and 8:40 p.m., a vandal keyed a black 2012 Honda Civic in the 3200 block of Daniel Avenue.

13 FRIDAY
Between 10 and 10:30 a.m., a burglar broke into a black 2004 GMC Yukon in the 6400 block of Hillcrest Avenue and stole an $1,800 MacBook Air laptop computer, a $140 Texas Instruments calculator, and a $40 backpack.
