Lamplighter Celebrates Lunar New Year

Students at Lamplighter rang in the Lunar New Year on Wednesday by watching a performance of the Lion Dance.

The LPA Cultural Awareness committee shared facts about the 15-day holiday before the “lion” performed to drums. The holiday, traditionally celebrated in Asian cultures, celebrates prosperity and new beginnings.
