Neighbors to the Rescue in UP House Fire
Kudos to some heroic neighbors in University Park who proved the community spirit in the Park Cities is alive and well on Monday night, when they rescued an elderly couple from a house fire in the 3500 block of Hanover Street.
Due in part to their quick actions, the occupants were able to escape injury, although the house was destroyed. Crews from UP, Highland Park, and Dallas shared the firefighting efforts.
The Dallas Morning News has more information and some video of the blaze, which apparently originated in the attic.
