Preston Hollow Elementary alum and Jesuit grad James P. Graham will receive the Spirit of Centennial Award at the 22nd Spirit of Centennial luncheon at Fair Park on April 9.
The event, hosted by the Friends of Fair Park, will take place on the field of the Cotton Bowl for the first time.
“Jim Graham is a classic, larger-than-life Texas oilman, and his commitment to Fair Park is exactly what you would expect from an independent oil man – big and fun,” said Billy Dean, Friends of Fair Park board chairman.
Graham is a past president of the Dallas Park and Recreation Board, Friends of Fair Park, and the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Today, he is the chairman of Palo Petroleum Inc and Friends of Dallas Parks. Fun fact: he’s been inducted into the North Texas Soccer Association Hall of Fame.
Graham’s children have all attended Preston Hollow Elementary School, Franklin Middle School, and Jesuit.
