Temple Emanu-El to Teach Kindergarteners

After a decade-long hiatus, kindergarten will be reintroduced to the Temple Emanu-El Childhood Education Center in fall 2016.

The class will accept up to 16 students and have two kindergarten-certified teachers, who will offer a project-based curriculum. Students’ lessons will include Spanish and Hebrew, and they will also have enhanced programming in academics, as well as specialized classes like yoga and chess.

Temple ran a kindergarten class from 1981-2004 but ended it due to new guidelines for Dallas schools. After months of research, the staff has found a way to bring it back.
