Police Report: Dec. 14 to 21

Skulduggery of the week: LIFE OF PIE

Between 4:39 and 5:20 p.m. on Dec. 14, a thief stole some packages from a porch in the 3100 block of St. Johns Drive. The stolen items included $150 worth of picture frames, a $30 pecan pie, and $18 worth of J. Hilburn gift boxes.

HIGHLAND PARK

14 MONDAY

Between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., a larcenist stole some packages from a porch in the 3800 block of Stratford Avenue. The parcels consisted of a $700 pair of Stuart Weitzman boots, two pairs of jeans valued at $150, and a $100 Restoration Hardware bedspread.

19 SATURDAY

At 8:26 a.m., someone reported to police the theft of a stop sign in the 3400 block of Drexel Drive, at the intersection with Hillcrest Avenue. The sign at the southwest corner was stolen, while another stop sign at the northeast corner was knocked over without being damaged. Later that weekend, another stop sign was missing from the 4900 block of Hillcrest, at the intersection with Dartmouth Avenue.

20 SUNDAY

At 2:30 a.m., Edill Frausuar Moncada, 26, of Irving was arrested in the 4600 block of Livingston Avenue on charges of public intoxication and failure to identify.

21 MONDAY

At 6:37 a.m., a burglar broke into TJ’s Seafood Market in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue, but it’s unclear if anything was stolen.

UNIVERSITY PARK

14 MONDAY

Between 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 12 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 14, a burglar broke into a residential construction site in the 3100 block of Caruth Boulevard and stole $11,730 worth of kitchen appliances.

15 TUESDAY

Between 7 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 15, a thief stole a package containing $300 worth of Williams-Sonoma products from a porch in the 3300 block of Villanova Drive. At 2:33 p.m. the same day, a thief stole two packages from a porch in the 4400 block of Potomac Avenue.

16 WEDNESDAY

At 12:10 p.m., Christopher Tyler German, 24, of Dallas was arrested at Park Cities Plaza on charges of public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

17 THURSDAY

Between 12:31 and 12:43 p.m., a thief stole more than $10,000 worth of kitchen appliances from an attached garage at a residential construction site in the 2700 block of Hanover Street.

Between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., a thief stole a $226 Mongoose boys bicycle at Highland Park Middle School.

18 FRIDAY

At 12:50 p.m., Julian Edward Lewis, 50, of University Park was arrested in the 3700 block of Haynie Avenue on charges of marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

19 SATURDAY

Between 11 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 4:22 a.m. on Dec. 19, a burglar broke into a silver 2013 Chevrolet Suburban in the 3500 block of Wentwood Drive and stole the third-row seat.

Between 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 19, a thief stole the glass from the two side mirrors of a black 2003 Chevrolet Suburban in the 2800 block of Hanover Street. During the same time frame, a crook stole the two side mirrors from a black 2005 Cadillac Escalade in the 2700 block of Hanover.

20 SUNDAY

At 4:05 p.m., a resident of the 4000 block of Purdue Street reported the theft of a $300 pair of K2 skis from a porch on Dec. 18.
