Alcuin School Goes International

AlcuinSchoolIB_017Alcuin Upper School announced its acceptance as an International Baccalaureate on Jan. 11 by the Director General of the International Baccalaureate Organization from Geneva, Switzerland.

Beginning fall of 2016, the school can officially offer the Grade 11-12 IB Diploma Programme to Upper School students.

The school marked the event with a letter signing ceremony, where several dignitaries — including Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings — were in attendance.

The IB program seeks to promote intellectual prowess and high academic standards, teach young people to use their classroom experience to the outside world, and to assist students to become informed in their communities and the world.
