SMU Dedicates New Education Hall

SMU celebrated the opening of its new Harold Clark Simmons Hall on Thursday. The 40,000-square-foot academic building joins the Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development.

The hall will house the Department of Teaching and Learning, the Budd Center for Involving Communities in Education, and plenty of high-tech labs and classrooms. The Simmonses gave $25 million in February 2013 for its construction. Harold died in December of that year.
