For a second year in a row, a student at W.T. White High School has been chosen for the Texas All-State Choir. Senior Michael Valderas was selected for the musical honor. The Texas All-State Choir performed at the Texas Music Educator’s Association (TMEA) convention in San Antonio in February.

The process begins with a selected 64,000 students for 15 different ensembles and is narrowed down through auditions. Led by nationally recognized conductors at the TMEA convention, students partake in three days of rehearsal for performances to bring the event to a close.
