Southwestern Medical Foundation (SWMF) brought future doctors and donors together at the foundation’s annual scholarship event at Old Parkland on May 5. Foundation donors provided more than $220,000 in need-based and merit scholarships this year.
Chairman of the Board Robert Rowling, a Park Cities resident, thanked donors for investing in the next generation at the reception.
“We are unbelievably proud of these students who are the lifeblood of the medical school and the community,” he said in a press release. “There is a great need for doctors in North Texas and more than half of all physicians in this region are educated by UT Southwestern.”
