The Highland Park boys dominated in their season-opening meet at The Colony on Saturday, while the girls finished a close second behind Prosper.

The sprint-only meet featured individual wins for Tommy King in the 25-yard freestyle and 50 freestyle, and Felix Van Cauwelaert in the 50 backstroke and 100 individual medley.

Other gold-medal swimmers for the Blue Wave included Ethan Nguyen (50 butterfly), Robby King (200 freestyle), and Henry Wang (50 breaststroke). HP also claimed all three boys relays.

On the girls side, two freshman won individual events for HP — Morgan Rehme in the 50 freestyle and Phoebe Nguyen in the 50 backstroke.

The Blue Wave will jump back in the pool at the Jesuit Ranger Relays on Oct. 1, also at The Colony.
