Lady Scots Set for Postseason Run
With the regular season in the past, Highland Park now hopes there is plenty of volleyball in its immediate future.
The Lady Scots (35-9) will open their postseason run with a Class 5A Region II bi-district matchup against Texarkana Texas High at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Wills Point.
HP is the second seed from District 15-5A. The Lady Scots dropped out of a first-place tie with a five-set loss at Forney on Oct. 21. They rebounded with a sweep of Wylie East in the regular-season finale on Tuesday.
The winner of the HP-Texas High match likely will face a showdown against state power Prosper in the area round later next week.
Prior to the playoff tilt, HP will host a warm-up match against Richardson Pearce at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
