5 Ways To Celebrate National Margarita Day

Margaritas and random thunderstorms aren’t a typical pairing. But as the saying goes … “when in Texas” – wait is that how it goes?

Nevermind.

It’s National Margarita Day.

Here are five places to get out of the rain and into some celebrating.

Mi Cocina
Highland Park Village

A traditional margarita with a twist, the Mambo Taxi is house made with Pinot Noir, Brandy, and fruit juices. If this is a little out of your comfort zone, don’t worry, the restaurant also serves up a host of other margaritas, such as a 150 calorie skinny margarita, a spicy jalapeno margarita, and the Mi Cocina margarita – to name a few.

Water Grill Dallas
1920 McKinney Ave.
An exclusive to Water Grill’s Dallas location, the Lone Star is served with silver tequila and mezcal, agave syrup, lime, coriander, sweet yellow & jalapeno peppers, as well as a dusted glass rim of ancho chile salt. As a bonus, margaritas are $8 from 3-6 p.m.

Jalisco Norte
3858 Oak Lawn Ave.
Keeping Up With the Jerry Joneses – This Dallas-themed margarita is an “homage” to the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones. The cocktail is lavish and delicious made with the highest quality agave syrup straight from Jalisco stirred with Gran Patron Platinum Tequila, Grand Marnier Centenario, and Fresh Squeezed Lime. $5 house margaritas and the cutest mini donkey in all the land will both be going on all day.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill
Preston Hollow Village
The Corzo Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita is a perfect representation of sweet meets heat, this cocktail introduces itself with a refreshing first taste with an after-kick from the jalapeño to make one delicious drink. This margarita combines Corzo Silver tequila, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, muddled jalapeño and cucumber to provide a refreshing take on a classic Texas staple. Margaritas will be ringing up at $3.75 from 3-6:30 p.m.

Meso Maya
Preston Forest
From its top-shelf house margaritas served frozen or on the rocks to the Avocado (a fresh muddled avocado, freshly squeezed pineapple and lime juices, triple sec, and casa noble crystal), Meso Maya has some serious range when it comes to its margarita menu.
