Instagram-Worthy Yoga With Bunnies, Goats, and Dogs

If you’re looking to step up your yoga game and enter into extreme happiness, bunny yoga just might be the tool.

The Farm-to-City fitness series is returning to the Jewish Community Center of Dallas (The J) every Sunday in March and April and is bringing with it some fun activities including Bunny Yoga, Adopt Me – Dog Yoga, and the ever-popular Goat Yoga.

The series begins at 1 p.m. this Sunday with Bunny Yoga.

“After the success of the Farm-to-City Series in the fall, we knew we had to bring it back but bigger, better and with bunnies,” said Terri Arends, The J’s Group Fitness Director. “Animals deliver positive wellness, and we hope attendees can take a moment to enjoy the charm of farm life while finding bliss in every breath.”

One of the latest trends in health and wellness, event planners say Bunny Yoga helps people connect with adorable, cuddly critters for a moment of inner peace that transcends joy. A local farm will bring the bunnies to visit during the class and pose for photos.

Space for the event is limited and reservations can be made online.

Adopt-Me Dog Yoga will take place March 11 and is free to attend, but RSVP is required due to limited space.

The J also will be collecting donation items on site.

Back by popular demand, the hands-on, hooves-on Goat Yoga will allow participants to interact with baby Pygmy goats eager to join in the poses. The goats weigh between 10 and 12 pounds, making them the perfect weight for providing a mini massage, event planners say.

The Goat Yoga Spring Harmony will be held March 18 and April 29.

Other days in this series include Pamper You – Improve Your Mood yoga on March 25, and a special Earth Day yoga class April 22. Participants will enjoy the powerful beat of Conga drums and the relaxing beauty of the outdoors. Before the Earth Day Yoga Class begins, the community is invited to a complimentary Let’s Get Social hour from 3 to 4 p.m. Healthy snacks and apple cider will be provided.

The event is free, but again RSVP is required.

All Farm-to-City Series events will be held on The J’s campus at 7900 Northaven Road in Dallas. More information is available online or by contacting Terri Arends at [email protected].
