Q: What cosmetic is always in your purse?

A: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Golden Sand. It’s like Couture Chapstick!

Q: Tell us about your favorite piece of clothing in your closet:

A: I’m not sentimental about clothing, and I clean out my closet frequently. However, I do have many wonderful purses that Richard and the children have given me over the years that I treasure because of the memories that accompany them. When I was the Contribution Ticket Chairman for the CCB Fashion Show and returned home after the event, on the counter was a gift-wrapped python Gucci clutch with a beautiful note thanking me for giving my time to our community… I keep that note tucked in the purse. This year, Richard had Goyard hand-paint a crossbody for me with ladybugs that have hearts on their backs instead of spots, one for each family member, since I call everyone in our family ‘Lovebugs.’ So many of the purses in my closet have a cherished memory – they bring me joy when I carry them.

Q: What’s been the most valuable learning experience as part of Crystal Charity Ball?

A: The vetting system that Crystal Charity Ball uses throughout the Charity Selection Process, and the level of continued support provided to the selected charities, is truly an example of best practices in action. It’s been an honor and learning experience to serve as a Researcher as well as a Grant Writer, to tour and engage with so many exceptional Dallas non-profits, and to learn about the needs of children in our city.

Q: What is your favorite Park Cities or Preston Hollow eatery to get dressed up for lunch with girlfriends?

A: R+D, Rise, Mesero, True Foods, Le Bilboquet… however, in all but Le Bilboquet, you are likely to see me in tennis or yoga gear!

Q: Other than the beneficiaries of Crystal Charity Ball, what charity/cause pulls at your heartstring, and why?

A: Richard and I have both been longtime supporters of the American Cancer Society and are currently chairing the Capital Campaign to bring a Hope Lodge to Dallas. We know so many people who have been touched by cancer, including both of our mothers. We want to do our part to fight the disease, encourage prevention and early detection, and serve those undergoing treatments.

Q: What is your fashion motto?

A: My motto is healthy, strong and flexible.

Q: Tell us about your favorite Park Cities or Preston Hollow place to get pampered:

A: Holly and her wonderful staff at Allure Nails keep my nails and toes pampered and presentable.
