SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: COOKIE MONSTER?

Someone must have really wanted some cookies – or maybe more … Around 7 a.m. Dec. 26, someone drilled out the door lock at Tiff’s Treats in the 8600 Block of Hillcrest Road.

DALLAS

17 Monday

Sunglasses were stolen at 8:24 p.m. from Sunglass Hut at NorthPark Center. 

18 Tuesday

Shoplifters were arrested at Macy’s at NorthPark Center at 8:39 p.m.

A suspect fled the scene of a car accident at the 5000 block of Lovers Lane at 10:39 a.m.

19 Wednesday

The back door of a business at the 4000 block of Northaven was broken down and property stolen at 12:06 p.m.

A hit and run was reported at the 12000 block of Inwood around  12:15 p.m.

A woman reported her vehicle stolen at 1:04 p.m. at the 9000 block of N. Central Expressway.

20 Thursday

Property was stolen from a vehicle at 2:22 p.m. at the 3000 block of Northwest Highway. 

21 Friday

A woman’s parked car was broken into at the 12000 block of Preston Road at 9:18 a.m.

A vehicle was taken without permission from the 4000 block of Goodfellow Drive at 10:01 a.m.

A 54-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication at 3:58 p.m. at the 58oo block of Orchid Lane. 

Criminal trespassing was reported from Whole Foods on Preston Road at 5:20 p.m.

Theft was reported at the Inwood Village Ulta at 9:28 p.m. A high-end fragrance was stolen.

22 Saturday

Property was stolen out of a vehicle at 9:45 a.m. at the 4000 block of Bluffview.

A condominium owner reported a broken window at his residence at 5400 block of Amherst at 5:15 p.m.

A criminal trespass warning was issued in the parking lot of Preston Oaks shopping center at 9:03 p.m.

23 Sunday

Nearly $400 worth of merchandise was reported stolen from Dillard’s at NorthPark Center at 4:28 p.m.

A wallet was stolen at 4:15 p.m. from the 11000 block of Preston Road. 

24 Monday

Sometime before 10:43 a.m., a vehicle was burglarized while parked in the 4400 block of Shady Hill Drive.

Stuff went down at the Preston Center Verizon store. Around 3 p.m., someone was hit with an elbow during a theft.

26 Wednesday

The front door of a home in the 4600 block of Ellensburg Drive was jimmied open and property was stolen sometime between Dec. 24 and 1:13 p.m. Dec. 26.

27 Thursday

A vehicle parked in the 10800 block of Netherland Drive was burglarized before 7:30 a.m.

Stolen before 9:42 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked in the 4900 block of Mill Run Road.

Propane Tanks were stolen sometime between Dec. 25 and Dec. 27 before 2:47 p.m. at the Tom Thumb in the 7100 block of Inwood Road.

Property was stolen around 8:14 p.m. from a home in the 4900 block of Mill Creek Road.

A dog bit the finger of a 46-year-old man around 8:55 p.m. in the 11400 block of Royalshire Drive.

28 Friday

Stolen before 4:02 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked overnight and a shed in the 4200 block of Merrell Road.

Two vehicles parked at the Embassy Suites Dallas in the 3800 block of West Northwest Highway were burglarized before noon.

Arrested at 3:30 p.m.: a man, age unknown, on suspicion of shoplifting at Target in the 8300 block of Westchester Drive.

Property was stolen from a vehicle parked outside of a construction site sometime before 4:50 p.m. in the 5900 block of Lupton Drive.

A storage unit at Extra Space Storage in the 12100 block of Inwood Road was burglarized sometime before 5:20 p.m.

Around 8:30 p.m., a vehicle parked outside the Village of Preston Hollow was damaged during a burglary when the driver’s side window was shattered. Later in the week, Dec. 31, it was reported to police around 11:30 a.m. that another vehicle also was burglarized on Dec. 28 in the same shopping center.

Arrested at 11:27 p.m.: a 46-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting watches from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

29 Saturday

A vehicle parked outside of a 7-11 in the 5100 block of West Lovers Lane was burglarized around 11:10 p.m.

30 Sunday

A burglar didn’t just break into one unit at the Public Storage in the 3500 block of Inwood Road, but 51 of them. The facility reported the incident to police around 11:30 a.m.

31 Monday

Stolen before 5:16 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked in the 7400 block of Pebbledowne Drive.

A vehicle parked in the 4700 block of Purdue Avenue was burglarized before 10:31 a.m.

Arrested at 6:25 p.m.: a 50-year-old woman suspected of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.
