SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: NO LAST-MINUTE SHOPPING?
Reported at 3:18 p.m. Dec. 23: a 23-year-old employee of Anthropologie lost her wallet at NorthPark Center.

23 Monday
Before 1:44 p.m. at a shopping center at Northwest Highway and Midway Road, a thief took a 64-year-old woman’s wallet.

Arrested at 6:50 p.m.: a woman (age not provided) who was accused of embezzling from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Before 9:45 p.m., a burglar smashed the window of a 32-year-old McKinney man’s vehicle in the 4500 block of West Lovers Lane and stole contents.

24 Tuesday
A careless and irresponsible motorist didn’t stick around and provide personal information after wrecking into another vehicle in the 10700 block of Brookport Place.

Before 12:12 p.m., a sly customer presented a forged check to be cashed at Amegy Bank at Northwest Highway and Hillcrest Avenue.

At 5:22 p.m., Carrollton police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 6000 block of LBJ Freeway.

Before 10:36 p.m., a Christmas Eve criminal removed contents from a Pilot Point man’s vehicle in the 5300 block of Wenonah Drive.

25 Wednesday
Some say a bearded fat man, dressed in red, snuck into area homes overnight through the chimneys, ate cookies, and left gifts.

26 Thursday
Arrested at 1:32 p.m.: a man (age not provided) who was accused of shoplifting at the Microsoft Store at NorthPark Center.

27 Friday
Before 10:45 a.m., a dog bit a 63-year-old man at apartments in the 7700 block of West Greenway Boulevard.

Before 4:17 p.m., one or more vandals damaged a 41-year-old Frisco woman’s property in the 7700 block of Mason Dells Drive.

28 Saturday
Police did not provide a reporting time for a theft at Inwood Village.

Amazon dropped off a package at a home in the 4700 block of Mill Creek Road, and before 6:18 p.m., an opportunistic porch pirate took it.

29 Sunday
Stolen before 12:54 a.m.: a vehicle from apartments in the 12800 block of Midway Road.

Before 1:52 a.m. at Preston Center, a 36-year-old Trinidad, Texas man did not know the ruffian who hit and hurt him.

Before 8:48 p.m. at the Forestwood Shopping Center at Forest Lane and Inwood Road, a thief stole from a 58-year-old woman.
