Park Cities Crime Reports Jan. 4-9


A grinch got into a home in the 3500 block of Gillon Avenue and took Christmas gifts including children’s toys and clothes, glass ornaments, a wallet with $700 in cash, and seven credit cards. The incident was reported at 2:51 p.m. Jan. 6.


4 Monday

How easy was it for a rogue to get into a Lexus GX 460 parked in the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue overnight before 8 a.m. and take a $200 wallet, $100 in cash, three debit cards, three credit cards, and an Adderall prescription bottle.

A ne’er do well got into a Lexus 350 parked in the 4600 block of Southern Avenue overnight before 10 a.m. and rummaged through it.

6 Wednesday

Villains got into a Subaru Ascent and Toyota Sequoia parked in the 4000 block of Gillon Avenue overnight before 8 a.m. and took an insurance card, vehicle registration paperwork with the sticker from one, and rummaged through the other.

7 Thursday

A shoplifter snagged a $990 handbag from the Christian Louboutin store in Highland Park Village, hid it in another purse, and left without paying for it. The incident was reported at 10:33 a.m.

8 Friday

An unwelcome guest rummaged through a Subaru Impreza parked in the 4200 block of Fairfax Avenue, leaving things scattered. The incident was reported at 9 a.m.

9 Saturday

A good neighbor turned in a debit card found in the 3400 block of Cornell Avenue at 9:52 a.m.

A group of malefactors took a $3,700 handbag from the Chanel store in Highland Park Village and left the store. The incident was reported at 10:01 a.m.


4 Monday

Don’t forget to lock your car: A burglar got into a Range Rover parked in the 8300 block of Preston Road and pilfered a MacBook pro laptop, a $600 wallet, a debit card, and four credit cards between 6:45 and 8 p.m.

7 Thursday 

A scoundrel got into a home in the 3800 block of Greenbrier Drive and snagged $80, a $500 purse, a Target card, a Nordstrom card, and various credit/debit cards at 10 a.m.

A fraudster used the information of a woman from the 3500 block of Caruth Boulevard overnight before 10:18 a.m.
