WTW Makes History with Softball Sweep
For the first time in program history, W.T. White is in the second round of the softball playoffs.
The Longhorns completed a sweep of Sunset in a Class 5A Region II bi-district series on Friday to advance to the second weekend of postseason play.
The next task will be daunting — a one-game area-round matchup against powerhouse Frisco Heritage on May 6 in Frisco — but for WTW, it’s an important step.
The Longhorns (15-16) surged to a 12-5 victory in their home field in Game 1, then blanked the Bison 12-0 the following day at Forester Softball Complex.
