UPPD Responds to Bank Robbery In Snider Plaza

Police responded to a robbery at Prosperity Bank in Snider Plaza Monday morning.

Officers arrived at the bank around 10 a.m. and were told when they arrived that a man described as wearing glasses, a green hoodie, and a blue medical mask demanded money from a teller, city officials say. They said the man then placed a bag on the counter, put the money he received in it, and left on foot.

Authorities say the man never presented a weapon, but kept a hand in a pocket and indicated he was armed.

Police canvassed the area, but didn’t find the suspect, officials say.

University Park police have since turned the case over to the Dallas office of the FBI, authorities said.
