Trova Turns Two

Trova Wine + Market opened quietly in July 2020, a difficult time to launch a restaurant, wine bar, and shop, to be sure. Two years later, Trova is thriving as a neighborhood spot where you can find great food, great wine, and friendly service.

From a tiny little kitchen comes delightful salads, sandwiches, small plates, and snacks such as addictive truffle fries and marinated olives with which I’m legitimately obsessed. You can also choose from broad selections of cheese and charcuterie for perfect wine accouterments. If you just need a bottle of juice, Trova’s market has an extensive selection of bottles for purchase at prices well below what you find on fancy wine lists.

Trova’s creator Michelle Bonds isn’t a chef or sommelier.  Her background is in corporate marketing and digital marketing for Yum! Brands. After a successful career, she decided to pursue a passion project and Trova, which means find in Italian, is it.  Trova is a great find, a gem of a place right in the heart of the Plaza at Preston Center, next to Pockets Menswear.

To celebrate its second year, Trova is hosting a sparkling wine tasting Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are encouraged, and the price is $20 per person, which will be waived with the purchase of two or more bottles of wine.

Trova Wine + Market, 4004 Villanova Street, Dallas. Reservations can be made on OpenTable or by calling 469-930-0069.
