Hudson Paces Lady Scots at Plano Opener
A fast start to the cross country season saw four Highland Park girls finish in the top 10 at the Plano ISD Invitational on Saturday at Russell Creek Park.
Charlotte Hudson was the individual runner-up with a time of 18 minutes, 28 seconds. Maddie Heckler came in sixth in her varsity debut, followed by teammates Kayla Dickerson and Sara Cavey.
In the boys race, HP finished fifth in the team standings, with top runner William Jaudes placing 18th individually in 16:57.
Next up, both HP teams will race on Aug. 20 at the Woodhouse Invitational in Waxahachie.
