HP Harriers Prepare for District Meet
The Highland Park girls closed out the regular season with a victory in the team standings at the Jesuit XC Invitational on Saturday in Oak Point.
Kayla Dickerson was the individual runner-up for the Lady Scots, completing the 5-kilometer course at Prestonwood Polo Club in 18 minutes, 25 seconds. HP teammates Charlotte Hudson, Maddie Heckler, and Ellie Preston each finished among the top 12.
In boys action, HP tuned up for its postseason races by placing 19th as a team in the elite varsity division at the Nike South Invitational in The Woodlands. William Jaudes paced the Scots with a time of 16:20, good for 59th position.
Next up, both HP teams will compete in the District 7-6A meet on Oct. 13 at Myers Park in McKinney. Top finishers will advance to the Region II race in Lubbock.
