Faith Friday: SMU Celebration of Lights

SMU will host its annual celebration of lights Monday, Nov. 28.

The ceremony will feature student musicians performing songs of the season, SMU President R. Gerald Turner reading the Christmas story from the New Testament, and the lighting of the SMU Christmas tree. The celebration ends with a singing of “Silent Night.”

The evening also will include campus carriage rides and the opportunity to pet a reindeer rumored to be visiting from the North Pole.
