Lady Scots Eliminated Quickly by Martin

The return to the softball playoffs was short-lived for Highland Park, which was overpowered by Arlington Martin in a Class 6A Region I bi-district series.

The Lady Warriors won both games via run-rule shutouts — by scores of 15-0 on Friday and 16-0 on Saturday. Martin was able to silence the HP bats that produced double-digit runs in seven of 14 District 7-6A games.

Despite the abrupt postseason exit, the Lady Scots (18-14) set a program record for wins this spring while placing third in a competitive district during the regular season.
