Six Scots Announce College Commitments
After leading the Highland Park defense for the past three years, linebacker Jack Morse will continue his football career in the Ivy League.
Morse recently finalized his commitment to Brown University, and was among the HP athletes recognized during a National Signing Day ceremony on Wednesday.
Two of Morse’s fellow football captains, running back James Lancaster and defensive lineman Daniel Turner, will head to Washington and Lee next season after helping the Scots to a Class 5A Division I state runner-up finish in 2024.
In other sports, HP golfer Blake Goodnight signed with Seton Hall. He tied for 13th place last spring at the Class 6A state tournament.
Meanwhile, two rowers for Dallas United Crew also were honored after announcing they will compete in college next year — Elle Noonan at SMU and Kian McLaughlin at Embry-Riddle.
