HP Bass Team Hooks Win at Regional Tourney
The Highland Park Bass Team reeled in its sixth consecutive school win on April 26, and this was a big one.
The team dominated the competition at the Regional Tournament on Lake Lewisville, finishing first out of 81 schools. The combined weight of fish from Highland Park’s top three teams was 49.09 pounds, while the second-place school snagged fish weighing 40.64 pounds.
Four of HP’s teams qualified for the two-day state championship held at Lake Conroe at the end of May. Those teams and the weight of their five heaviest legal fish were:
- Sixth Place: Myles Vinyard and Cole Drysdale — 19.25 pounds
- Seventh Place: Dylan Sorrells and Cullum Brown — 18.41 pounds
- 25th Place: Lee Wagner and Miller Rosamond — 11.43 pounds
- 49th Place: Ryan Segulyev and Alex Leszinski — 7.63 pounds
