The Sheriff’s Office in Union County, Georgia, has asked for the public’s assistance in locating Dallas attorney Charles M. Hosch.

Hosch, co-founder of the law firm Hosch and Morris, is an adjunct faculty member at SMU’s Dedman School of Law and an expert in complex business transactions and litigation.

The 67-year-old has been missing since Tuesday, Nov. 11, when he went for a hike on the Byron Herbert Reece Trail in Union County. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a camel-colored sweater, and a dark green jacket. Hosch is 6’1’’ tall and weighs about 200 lbs.

Search efforts have included officers, specialized K-9 units, and aerial support. The Union County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone who has seen Hosch or knows of his whereabouts to contact its Emergency Operations Center at (706) 439-6091, or to call 911 if in Union County.

A post on the Hosch and Morris webpage described Hosch, who has taught at SMU since 1991, as both a brilliant legal mind and a kind and sincere person.

“To his colleagues and students alike, he is not only an exceptional attorney and teacher, but a wonderful friend whose unwavering reliability and warmth have touched countless lives,” the firm wrote in its post.
