University Park resident Ward Copley sent this over the weekend:
My family and I were at Eatzi’s on Lovers last Saturday getting some food when we saw these two guys in flight suits. Turns out they were F/A18 pilots from VFA-106 in Virginia who stopped at Love Field for fuel. They were on their way back home from training in El Centro, CA. They gave my two sons their squadron patches and said to come on out to the airport to check out the F/A 18Ds (Super Hornet). Terrific bunch of guys and a really fantastic and most unexpected encounter.
Moral of the story? Eat at Eatzi’s, get invited to hang out with Navy pilots.
