The streak of TAPPS state titles reached 24 years for the Ursuline soccer team last weekend, when the Bears held off Bishop Lynch in the championship game in Houston.
After a scoreless draw in regulation and two overtimes, Ursuline won in a shootout against its district rival, avenging a regular-season loss. In the semifinals, the Bears also gained payback against a district foe when they shut out Fort Worth Nolan 3-0.
