Clayton Staunton led Highland Park’s vault to the top of the boys team standings at the HP Invitational meet on Wednesday.
Staunton, a sophomore, won all six individual events in addition to the all-around title (with an aggregate score of 56.0) against gymnasts from Atascocita, Kingwood, Kingwood Park, and Garland Lakeview Centennial.
Also for the Scots, Triston Brown was the runner-up on parallel bars and Alexander Miller placed third on horizontal bar.
The girls portion of the optional meet was cancelled due to inclement weather. The Lady Scots will return to action on Feb. 25 at Irving.
